Η οριστική έξοδος του πρωτόγονου ανθρώπου απο το μεταφορικό και κυριολεκτικό σκοτάδι των σπηλαίων ,έχει απασχολήσει τις τέχνες  και τις επιστήμες σε σημαντικό βαθμό στη διάρκεια της ανθρώπινης ιστορίας.Απο τις πρώτες απόπειρες των πρωτόγονων φυλών να φωτίσουν το σκοτάδι της σπηλιά τους με τη φωτιά, μέχρι τις μεταφυσικές αλληγορικές προσεγγίσεις του πλατωνικού σπηλαίου ,το Ορφικού ταξιδιού  “στον κάτω κόσμο” η το ταξίδι του ήρωα στο σκοτάδι και η επιστροφή του σαν νικητή στο φως , είναι όλα μία παλιά ιστορία.

Night photography in Tokyo’s back alleys

Japanese photographer Masashi Wakui captures the streets of Tokyo at night, especially neon lights and the atmosphere that emerges from the narrow streets and passages behind the shops. He accentuates the lights and the mist to add a little depth to his images similar to the aesthetics of the film BladeRunner by Ridley Scott. Ikutaro Kakehashi, founder of Roland and creator of the TR-808 dies at 87

Ikutaro Kakehashi, the founder of Roland and the man who helped to create a slew of iconic drum machines and synths, has died at the age of 87.

Kakehashi founded Roland in the 1970s, having previously created drum machines with Ace Tone branding. At Roland, he presided over a golden age of product innovation, giving the world not only the TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines, but also helping to create (among others) the TB-303, Jupiter-8 and D-50 synths.

Sometimes electronic sometimes futuristic.We like both, so here we go.
Past-present-future: Tangerine dream,Paul Oakenfold,Johann Johannsson,Giorgio Moroder and more.The common ground here is the spacey/trippy ambience and spacious beats that form a major source of inspiration and add that special something in a movie.Spacey drones, abstract otherworldy soundscapes and other good stuff.
